The Adult Ministries Sub-committee helps establish and support programs and opportunities for the spiritual growth and Christian nurture for adults age 18 and older. These include fellowship groups, bible studies, retreats, Sunday school classes, and other special events.

SUNDAY MORNING COURSES/STUDIES

ON SUNDAY MORNINGS- Sundays 8:30am to 9:45am - Returning next Fall!
IT is our Sunday morning Christian Formation ministry from 8:30am to 9:45am (followed by worship at 10:00am).  It begins with breakfast from 8:30am to 9:00am.  Then from 9:00am to 9:45am adults are invited to choose from one of the two seminars or classes.  

FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNTIES

SAMS GROUP - Singles and Marrieds
Designed for adults who want to get out and have a good time (or get away from the kids), the SAMs events are always a time of good fellowship and good fun. Events are scheduled monthly and sign-up sheets are available in the church narthex. 

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN
Presbyterian Women meet in circles once a month.  A circle is where faith is nurtured and growth take place through worship, study, friendship and outreach; where women are challenged to stretch beyond their limits; where women move beyond the safe places of life and reach out to others; where Christian leadership is born, nurtured and sent forth into ministry.

The Esther-Rachel Circle meets every 2nd Tuesday, 10:00am, various locations. For more information contact Cheryl Volheim.

ROMEOS (Retired Old Men Eating Out) - Second Wednesday of each month
The ROMEO group meets for a fellowship lunch at noon on the second Wednesday of each month.  if you are neither retired, nor old, but available at lunchtime, you are equally welcome.  Please join us and if possible, call Carl Boe 253-874-2630 for our reservation count.  We meet at the Black Bear Diner in Federal Way at noon. 

MID-WEEK BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES

LECTIONARY BIBLE STUDY (with the Pastor) - Tuesday Afternoons 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Join us on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00pm to 2:00pm as we gather in the Lakeside Room (located on the top floor near the main office) to study the passage of scripture that will be the main focus of the upcoming sermon on Sunday morning.  It is a casual, fun time of reflection on the scriptures.  We learn a lot.  And, as always, it is intended for beginners and Bible scholars alike. Clicking on the following link will take you to a website called Text Week, which provides a variety of resources for studying the biblical texts associated with the Revised Common Lectionary. 

BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP
Bible Study Fellowship meets at Steel Lake Presbyterian on Wednesday mornings beginning at 9:25am.  Participating in a weekly BSF's daytime class allows women the opportunity to have a meaningful connection with God and other women on an ongoing basis. The daytime classes attract stay-at-home moms, retired women, and businesswomen who are able to schedule in a much-needed oasis during the week.  The weekly gathering allows women the opportunity to gain insights from one another in discussion groups, as well as from the teaching leader's compelling lecture. In addition to the regular weekly class, BSF provides the structure to encourage women to read and study the Bible daily. Click Here to learn more.
