Reach Out (Serving the Homeless):The Reach Out Program is a mission to provide shelter and support services to homeless men in Federal Way to help them move toward self-sufficiency. Through a collaborative effort between many organizations and churches, 25 men are provided a warm place to sleep, three meals a day (dinner, a simple breakfast, and a sack lunch), an on-site director, and a case manager. By not having to worry about food and shelter on a daily basis, counseling and referral services, it is hoped that the men who participate in this program will be able to focus on more long-term solutions to get them back on their feet. Steel Lake Presbyterian Church serves as a host for the homeless men each night during the months of November, December and March. During January and February, the men are hosted by our friends at Calvary Lutheran Church in Federal Way. For more information, visit the
Reach Out website.

Besides gifts of new toys, Christmas House also requests gently used family games and puzzles, with all pieces intact; new socks for all ages, infant to adult; candy and candy canes; new or gently used ornaments and holiday decorations; wrapping paper; new or gently used stuffed animals; stocking stuffer items; books for children and teens; hats, gloves and scarves; and cash donations. Every year the Christmas House serves approximately 1700 children.
