Vacation Bible School: Operation Overboard -- Dare to go deep with God! Coming July 9-13, 2012 Dive in and discover God’s underwater universe! As they journey miles below the water’s surface, kids plunge into Bible stories of people with deep faith and learn to trust a God whose love is bigger than the sea. Participants will learn to “go deep” into God’s Word for their lives, exploring the meaning and application of Bible stories about people who exhibited deep faith.
Steel Lake Christian Preschool: Steel Lake Presbyterian has a wonderful preschool program with classes for children ages three through five. With both morning and afternoon classes (9am to 12pm and 12:30pm to 3pm), our preschool hopes to reach out to families and their children with love and care. For more information, check out our preschool page on our website.
Parents Night Out: First Friday of Every Month Parents Night Out is a great opportunity for parents to spend some quality time alone while the kids spend some quality time playing with other children and having a blast. Movies, pizza, snacks and drinks, crafts, friendly volunteers and our bouncy house are what is waiting for your children the first Friday of every month from 6pm to 9pm. And best of all, it's free! Our gift to parents. So sign up and come join us!
Sunday School: Starting October 2 Our Sunday morning Christian Formation ministry on Sunday mornings from 9am to 9:45am (followed by worship at 10:00am).
Children's Lesson: Sundays at 10am (during worship after children's message) During our Sunday worship services, children (age four through fifth grade) are invited forward for a brief children's sermon. Afterwards, they have two options. They can go back and sit with their parents in the pews or they can join the other children in the Pacific Room (located on the top floor of our education wing). Children's Lesson is lead by our children's ministry volunteers.
Family Room: Children are always welcome to remain in the sanctuary with their parents. However, we also offer a quiet and comfortable family room that looks into the sanctuary for those parents who prefer more freedom of movement and sound. The entrance to the first family room is located in the left hand corner of the Narthex.
Taking Faith Home: Each Sunday, you will find a section in our Sunday Worship Bulletin called Taking Faith Home. This section is full of wonderful ideas connected to our worship that can be used at home for family devotions or personal devotions. They include prayers, daily scripture readings, and recommendations for other meaningful activities.
